Thomas Hebert

Thomas Hebert Sr. was the first born of five children to Alcide and Laurencia Hebert on December 11, 1938 in Ames Texas. Both parents preceded in death along with his three brothers: Edward Hebert, Paul Hebert and Alvin Hebert. Thomas, of the Catholic faith, begin his education attending "Our Mother of Mercy Catholic school in Ames Texas, and later continued his education at Liberty school in Ames, Texas. Thomas met and married, Ruthie (Browning) Hebert in 1964 and to this union three children were born: Thomas Jr.; Russell Sr And Dolecia Hebert. September of 1983 he met and married Virginia Hebert. Within this marriage were six step children: Charleston (Sarge) Lowe Jr.; Winfred Lowe, Oscar Lowe; Gloria Lowe, Lisa Sumpters and Theola Young,. Thomas excepted Christ at an early age and later after relocating to Oklahoma City, became a member of the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church under the direction of Pastor M. L. Tucker in 1991 and was faithful until his failing health. Thomas was known not to be afraid of anything. As a people-person loving to fellowship and spend time with friends; he also loved the rodeo arena and the activity of competition. He was the 1963 Bull Riding Champion Thomas, after many years on the road as a truck driver retired. He fought a good fight and through it all he finished his course. Early one afternoon when the Lord called on April 22, 2009 at 12:20 p.m., it was time, so Thomas stepped on board for his journey and reward. Thomas leaves to cherish his memory: His faithful wife, Virginia Hebert, One Sister: Madeline Hamilton (Joseph) of Houston, Texas his children: Thomas Jr.(Diane); Russell Sr. (Tina) and Dolecia Hebert of Houston Texas; Charleston (Sarge) Lowe Jr.; Winfred Lowe, Oscar Lowe; Gloria Lowe, Lisa Sumpters and Theola Young,. All of Oklahoma City; Three special grandchildren: Shanel James; Raymond Neal and Keyonna Young; 11 Sister-in-laws; 7 brother-inlaws; 28 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
