On January 3, 1945 a handsome, inquisitive baby boy was born. His proud parents, James and Helen Littlejohn named him Samuel Grant Littlejohn. He was the sixth of nine children born to this union.

He was a jack of all trades and in his lifetime was employed as a painter, a car salesman for Finley Auto Sales, a porter at Union Bus Station and a hotel waiter. His last employment venture was working for a catering business.
He accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Antioch Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor F.J. Waters. Later he would unite with The Church of The Living God, Temple #126 under the pastorate of Chief Bishop F.C. Scott. It was during his tenure at the Church Of The Living God that he accepted his call into the ministry. This would begin his ministerial journey and closer walk with the Lord. When Elder Littlejohn was summoned home to be with the Lord, he was a faithful member of the “God Knows Ministries” where his pastor was Pastor Courtney Jones Sr.
Elder Littlejohn renovated and pastored the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
