Teresa Greenlee

Teresa Ann Sutton Greenlee passed away on Monday 10/11/21. She was born September 13, 1949 as the first of four girls to Lena Mae and Heywood Gus Sutton in Hobart, OK.

She found Christ at an early age and joined St. Emanuel Baptist Church in Hobart, OK, under the late Rev. Charlie Harrington. Teresa attended Hobart Dunbar Elementary and graduated from Hobart High School class of 1967. She attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK before getting married and giving birth to a son, Brian David Wonde.

Teresa later moved to Lawton, OK where she met and married the late Jesse James Greenlee, Jr. They were both faithful members of St. James Baptist Church. She had a rewarding career as an Independent Distributor for Avon products for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Greenlee, Jr; her parents, Lena and Heywood Sutton.

Teresa leaves to cherish her memory her son, Brian (Destinie) David Wonde; three grandchildren, Jordan Wonde of Spring, Tx, Matthew Royce Poliwka and Reaunna Wonde of Denver, CO; three sisters, Selena (Mackie) Hill, Fayetta Brackon, Chloretta Elizabeth Sutton all of Tulsa, OK; one brother, William Author Johnson of Tulsa, OK; stepdaughter, Patricia Jackson of Salsbury, NC; church daughters, Casey (Rodney) Robinson Givens, Irma Newburn and daughters and a host of other relatives and friends who have joined today’s celebration of her life. 

Visitation will be Friday 10/29/21 11:00a.m-4:00p.m

Graveside Services will be Saturday 10/30/21 at 1:00pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
